These chocolate treats are a must to make and devour over the Easter celebrations. Growing up these were my favourite easter goodies to make with my Nana and since having my boys l have been making these Easter chocolate nests with them since they were babies.
Easter chocolate nests are simple to make with only 3 ingredients and little scrunching, melting and stirring and of course making into an actual nest shape. Once cooled they are ready to eat.
I have seen different cereal used to make the nest, Shredded Wheat, Shreddies, All bran and Cornflakes. I prefer to use shredded wheat and also because that's what Nana always used.
Grab the recipe below and have a go at making this Bank holiday.
Enjoy and Happy Easter!

Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: Chill for 30 minutes Makes: 12 Nests
Ingredients
250g of Milk chocolate - Melted
150g of Shreddies - slightly broken up
2 packets of mini eggs
Equipment
Mixing bowl
Spoon
Cupcake cakes
Muffin tin
Method
In the mixing bowl place the melted chocolate and the broken up shreddies.
Using the spoon mix them together until the shreddies are coated in chocolate.
Lay the cupcake cakes out in the muffin tin ready for the shreddies mixture to be added.
Using the spoon, spoon an amount into each cupcake. Make a hole in the middle of each ‘nest’ ready to add the mini eggs.
Share the mini eggs out between each of the ‘nests’ and place in the centre of each of them. You can use 2 or 3 in each. I personally like to mix up the colours.
Place in the fridge to chill.
When the chocolate has hardened take out of the fridge to bring to room temperature and share (if you want).
Enjoy!.
