Ferrero Rochers' are my favourite chocolate of all time.

I can guarantee that l will receive a box of these little balls of joy for every occasion, Easter, my birthday, Christmas and Mothers day. So imagine my joy when l found a box in the back of the kitchen cupboard, eeeekkkk.

Over breakfast this morning my youngest and l were discussing what we would be baking today to which he wanted to make cookies ( so he can dip in his milk for afternoon snack) and this gave me the idea to make Ferrero Rocher cookies but with a difference. .

This recipe is simple to follow and within 25 minutes you will have a delcious warm cookies to enjoy. We have only used 6 Ferrero Rocher in our cookie dough recipe and the amount of Nutella you want to use is a personal preference, l know some people are mad for Nutella and may apply lashings of it, compared to my mere spreading. .

These cookies will get your taste buds going and today we have made cookie sticks (go crazy) instead of normal round cookies which left my youngest a little confused but apaprently they are going to be the rage this spring/summer.

.

Let me know what you think!!

Grab the recipe below to make your Ferrero Rocher Cookie Sticks.

Enjoy!

Prep time: 10 Minutes            Cook time:  20 minutes                Makes:  6 servings

Ingredients

150g of Plain flour - sieved

125g of Butter - cubed

150g of Light brown sugar

50g of crushed hazelnuts

50g of Granulated sugar

20g of Cocoa powder - sieved

6 Ferrero Rocher - crushed - take out the hazelnuts

Nutella

1 Egg

1 tsp of Baking powder

1 tsp of Vanilla extract

1/2 tsp of Sea salt

Equipment

Square baking tray

Greaseproof paper

Spatula

Electric whisk

Mixing bowl

Spoon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.

  2. Grease the baking tin and line with the greaseproof paper and set to the side while making the cookie dough.

  3. In the mixing bowl place the butter and the sugar and cream together using the electric whisk.

  4. Add the flour and cocoa powder and continue to whisk together until a thick paste is formed.

  5. Place the egg, vanilla extract and sea salt into the mixture and whisk again until all the ingredients are combined.

  6. Crumble the crushed Ferrero Rocher into the cookie dough mixture and use the spatula to fold into the cookie mixture.

  7. Pour the cookie mixture into the baking tin and place in the oven for 17 minutes.  TIP! The cookie dough will be soft when baked.

  8. Leave the cookie to cool for 10 minutes.  TIP! You will want the cookie to be warm to support the spreading of the Nutella.

  9. Using the spoon, spread the Nutella over the top of the cookie, ensuring the whole cookie is covered. It is personal preference as to how much Nutella you wish to add to the top.

  10. Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the top to cover the Nutella and leave to cool completely.

  11. Cut into long sticks and serve when ready.

  12. Enjoy!.
