Festive Savoury Tart Recipe

Who doesn't love the left overs from Christmas dinner!! I always buy extra so that in the evening on Christmas day l can make a bubble and squeak or turkey and stuffing sandwiches for those who are still hungry. .
So even after Boxing day we still had left overs and this gave me the idea to make something a little different and it went down well with all the family, that l wish l made two.
This festive savoury tart is simple to make and the recipe below is easy to follow and made within 30 minutes.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can make it any time of the year for a light lunch and therefore not just for Christmas.

Prep time: 10 Minutes Cook time: 20 Minutes Makes: 1 Tart
Ingredients
1 pkt ready to roll puff pastry
200g of Sausage meat
4 pre made Stuffing balls
4 tbsp of Cranberry sauce
2 tbsp of Tomato puree
1 tsp of Thyme to sprinkle
1 tsp of Basil to sprinkle
Equipment
2 Baking trays
Frying pan
Parchment paper
Spatula
Teaspoon
Method
Pre heat the oven to 180C.
On the baking tray lay out some parchment paper and lay the puff pastry on top ready to add the toppings.
In the frying pan brown off the sausage meat and add the stuffing balls to give a more crisp texture. Use the spatula to mix the sausage meat and stuffing balls together.
Using the spoon spread the tomato puree over the base of the pastry leaving a 1cm border all the way round the pastry.
Sprinkle some thyme and basil over the base covering the tomato puree.
Spread the mixed sausage meat and stuffing over the tomato puree and dollop the cranberry sauce over the sausage meat.
Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Cut into squares and serve hot.
