Nutella Blondies

Do you know the difference between a blondie and a brownie? If your not a sweet tooth like us or in the baking world then maybe you don't, so let me tell me....
The main difference is the ingredients used to make them causing a taste differnet taste in flavour. Blondies are made with vanilla and brown sugar while brownies are made with brown sugar and chocolate making l believe blondies sweeter in taste.
So when you already have a sweet base of the basic blondie recipe then why not go further by adding a Nutella topping for that added extra sweet fix.
The recipe for making these Nutella Blondies is simple to follow and is perfect when you are in need of a sweet fix. If you are wanting your blondies to have a fudgey texture then dont cook for longer than recommended however if you prefere a cake texture then cook them for time allocated as mentioned in the recipe. Prep time: 10 Minutes Cook time: 20 Minutes Makes: 8 Blondies
Ingredients
250g of Plain flour
200g of Butter - melted
180g of Nutella
100g of Caster sugar
100g of Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 tbsp of Vanilla extract
Equipment
9”x 9” Cake tin
Greaseproof paper
Spatula
Mixing bowl
Jug
Fork
Spoon
Skewer
Method
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Line the baking tin with the greaseproof paper and lay to side for later.
In the mixing bowl place the cooled melted butter and add the sugars. Use the spatula to mix the ingredients together.
In the jug crack the eggs and add the vanilla extract. Use the fork to beat the ingredients.
Add the flour to the melted butter and pour in the egg mixture. Use the spatula to combine all the ingredients together and ensure there are no lumps in the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the cake tin and use the spatula to spread the mixture evenly. Leave the mixture to settle a little before adding the Nutella.
Using the spoon, place blobs of Nutella over the top of the blondie mixture. Use the skewer to begin making a marbled effect on the top of the blondies.
Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, the blondies will hardened as they cool and then cut into squares when ready to serve.
