What did you do for Guy Fawkes Night? Did you have your own fireworks at home or visit a local display?

We had friends over to watch a few fireworks, we ate hot dogs, corn on the cob and chips for tea followed by s'mores as a pudding treat. Who doesn't love a S'more?

So easy to make and can make to your taste. Over the years we have used a range of different biscuits for ours to which now we are agreed on it has to be chocolate Hobnob biscuit with a close to burnt marshmallow for extra sweetness.

If you have never made one before, you have been missing out... see the recipe below. Enjoy!

S'mores

Prep time: 3 minutes Cook time: 1 minute Makes: 10 s’mores

Ingredients

1 packet of Chocolate hobnob biscuits

1 packet of Marshmallows - giant or normal sized (we used vegetarian friendly ones)

Equipment

Skewers to roast the marshmallow on

Fire/BBQ

Kitchen roll- this can be messy

Method

  1. Open all packets ready to go.

  2. Light your fire/BBQ and wait for flames to smoulder.

  3. Collect 2 hobnob biscuits to make your s’more.

  4. Place the marshmallow on to the skewer.

  5. Hold the marshmallow slightly above the fire/BBQ so the marshmallow begins to heat through. You should see the sugar melting and burn marks form. TIP it is personal preference as to how much you melt the marshmallows.

  6. When your marshmallow is to your liking place the marshmallow in between the 2 hobnob biscuits and gently holding together pull the skewer out leaving the marshmallow in between the hobnob biscuits.

  7. And there you have your s’more ready to be eaten.

  8. Enjoy!.
