Sweet and Simple: How to Make Delicious Chocolate Apples at Home

When I was a child l loved apple bobbing at halloween. I was never very good at it as I didn't like the water going up my nose as l tried to grab an apple. It's not as if l could hold my nose either as l wouldn't be able to grab one with my hands in the way, whereas my brother was an absolute champion at it.
Remember remember the 5th November. Every Guy Fawkes night we would of made a guy ready to burn on the bonfire and got ready for the fireworks with a picky tea and chocolate apples for pudding.
Chocolate apples are so simple to make and you can put any topping your heart desires on the top. Follow the steps below to make your Guy Fawkes treat to enjoy while ooooooing at the fireworks. Enjoy!.

Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 5 minutes Makes: 4 Chocolate apples
Ingredients
4 Apples
2 bars of Chocolate - broken up ready to melt
1 packet of Mini marshmallows
Sprinkles
Honeycomb - broken up ready to sprinkle
Fudge - cut up ready to sprinkle
Any other toppings of choice
Saucepan of boiling water to melt the chocolate
Equipment
Lolly sticks/Skewers
Mixing bowl
Thin cylinder to dip apples into
Foil
Wooden spoon
Polystyrene to hold apples in
Method
1) Place a skewer or lolly stick into the centre of each apple.
2) Put the chocolate into the mixing bowl and place on top of the boiling water in the saucepan.
3)Put the saucepan on a low heat and melt the chocolate in a Bain Marie style mixing the chocolate as it melts. TIP! Do not allow the water to be touching the chocolate.
4) Pour the chocolate into the cylinder you are going to dip in.
5) Dip each apple in the chocolate. TIP! After dipping an apple in the chocolate move the apple around to encourage as much chocolate to come off, ensure the apple is fully covered.
6) Allow the chocolate to slightly harden before sprinkling toppings of choice over the chocolate apple.
7) Once decorated place in the polystyrene to harden completely.
8) Enjoy!.
